Next stop: your coding harness

Thanks for supporting POSH.

Give your coding harness access to project’s Ruby and gem docs. Reduce hallucinations, speed up your agents and cut token usage.

  1. Install POSH

Use Homebrew on macOS, AUR on Arch Linux, or a manual download for macOS and Linux.

    Download 0.35.0 release

Click a command to copy it, then paste it into your terminal. Prefer a standalone executable? Choose Manual.

  2. Activate your license

Open the customer portal linked in your Polar confirmation email and copy your license key. Replace YOUR_LICENSE_KEY below with that key.

Then check that your license is valid:

  3. Download your project’s docs

In your terminal, go to a Ruby project with a Gemfile.lock. Sync the available documentation for its Ruby and gem versions:

Once downloaded, your docs are available offline.

  4. Connect your coding harness

Prefer the CLI? If your agent can run shell commands, you can skip MCP setup. Ask it to start with posh --help and use POSH’s CLI to look up your docs.

Keep POSH in the loop

Save the instruction in your harness’s project instructions so your agent knows to consult POSH when working with Ruby and gem APIs.
