[Activate your license and sync your docs](/docs/activation/) first.
Open your harness in the same project. The agent needs shell access and `posh`
on its `PATH`.

## Add project instructions

Give your agent this instruction:

> Use POSH for this project's Ruby and gem docs. Run `posh --help` first.

Save it in your harness's project instructions.

## Find and read documentation

- `posh docsets`: list installed documentation.
- `posh search QUERY`: find APIs.
- `posh read DOCUMENT_REF`: read a search result.

Replace `QUERY` with a search term and `DOCUMENT_REF` with a reference returned by search.

If your harness supports MCP, you can also [connect the local MCP server](/docs/mcp/).
