My biggest project right now is building a docset publishing platform, codenamed doczilla. This site tracks library updates, decides when to publish new docsets, and handles the whole pipeline: building, uploading, and listing them.

Has anyone noticed a sneaky PoshTUI release? Yes, that was me – I’m back from hiatus.

This announcement is somewhat unconventional.

V0.13.1: BETTER ERROR COMMUNICATION, VERSION AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS

New v0.13.1 version is available. A little note on all the nice things that come with this release.

V0.12: HARDENED DOWNLOADER

Biggest update in v0.12 is simplified, but also hardened downloader for docsets. I wanted to implement goroutines to speed up the process and download docsets in a lot of threads, but it’s fast enough in all my tests. So I kept it simple, but tried to make it as reliable as possible.

POSH 0.11: RAILS GUIDES AND MORE DOCSETS

POSH TUI 0.11.0 release brings new types of docsets - Guides.

This is a release where I can stop referring to Posh TUI as a “scrappy prototype”. From now on, it’s software that’s finally getting in shape and moving in a certain direction.

My previous release was a bit rushed, so these changes are more to add a bit polish to new features that I previously announced.

WEEK 34: BACK TO SCHOOL

WEEK 30: HOW NOT TO BUILD YOUR SIDE PROJECT

This was not a very pleasant couple of weeks for POSH TUI project. I managed to merge like 5-6 lines of code change. But apart from that, completely blocked on all important issues.

BACK IN ACTION!

Took a bit of a break for family reasons. Everything that happened a bit threw me off balance. It took some time to recover from all the stress. But now I’m back at coding.

WEEK 24: NO UPDATES

Unfortunately, I will not be reporting this week on the progress I did the last couple of weeks. My wife got hospitalized a couple of weeks ago and had a surgery and a long recovery period that followed.

Wrapping up a sales of my SaaS and some other small business and personal ventures that I was doing before. But already at this point, I feel that there is sufficient spare time on my hands.
